Who We Are

Grace Community Church is a small gathering of believers from a wide array of backgrounds and religious traditions, all united with the purpose of growing in Christ.  We're located in  downtown Fremont, Michigan, right behind the White Agency and next to Seasons Pizzeria. The church was founded and established in 1995 from a diverse group of believers from several different faith traditions studying the Bible together, and began officially meeting in the current building shortly thereafter.

What are the people of Grace like? We are believers who are dedicated to seriously following the word, sharing Jesus with others, and loving those inside and outside of  our community. Our church family takes care of each other; we celebrate and mourn together as a family should. As our name suggests, we are also deeply committed to seeing God's grace empower those in our body. We are pursuing multi-generational ministry within our body, with a thriving youth group and a vibrant worship team of people of all ages. We also care for those outside of our church, both working with local ministries as we are able and hosting a Community Thanksgiving Dinner each year to bless those in need of a meal or community. Further away, we are currently supporting 2 different missions outside of our county, one in Togo Africa and the other in Upper Peninsula.

If you are looking for a church that loves Jesus and treats each other like family, come check us out on a Sunday morning!

What Does a service at Grace look like?

Our Sunday service begins at 10:30am, and typically lasts from an hour to ninety minutes. We invite you to come as you are, no need for any special dress codes. Before the service, you are welcome to grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and some cookies to enjoy in our fellowship area, located immediately to the left of our entrance.

During the service, we typically feature 4-5 worship songs both traditional and contemporary, spend time hearing updates from the congregation and praying for needs, and then feature a 30-45 minute message from God's Word. Currently, we have a balance between in-person preaching and digitally partnering with Ada Bible Church in Grand Rapids for our Sunday morning message.

We celebrate communion together on the 2nd Sunday of every month, during our regular worship service. Anyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ and has committed their life to Him is welcome to participate in communion at Grace. Typically we also have a potluck after the service on that day.

Leadership

Buck Weglarz - Director of Ministries

Before coming to Grace, I taught K-12 education in the nearby Holton school district, then graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago with a Master of Divinity. Since my wife Tricia and I first attended Grace, we have been so thankful for the warm welcome the community has blessed us with. I have a deep love for the Word of God, and it's incredibly meaningful to have the opportunity to study it and share it with others. I also care about nurturing authentic relationships and community, and as a leader, I'm passionate about cooperation and seeing all believers grow in whatever area God has called them to serve.

I would love to get the chance to sit down and chat with you about Grace, or just life in general. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions or prayer requests!
